This is a quote from a great guy and a great business coach, Michael Hofmann. When he told me this recently, it got me thinking about the similarities between my old and new occupations. Before I became a commercial loan broker, I was in alternative healthcare. Most people are a little surprised when I tell them this, because the two fields seems so different.

Yesterday, a very worried friend called me from out-of-state. She’d been planning to come to TX for some time and had just given notice at her job—a big decision which to her which meant she’d reached the point of no return. THEN she saw a newsclip about Texas which said that unemployment was higher than previously thought, etc. She was worried out of her mind that she wouldn’t be able to find a job when she comes to Austin.
